Barnby Dun Colts 2 - Bessacarr FC 2
Bouyed by their away win against Bessacarr earlier in the season the Barnby Dun players were well up for this game and were jubilant to grab a point from the game.
Bessacarr started out the stronger and played some fine football testing the Barnby Dun defence on numerous occasions but the game being played mainly in mid-field.
The deadlock was broken when a free kick was awarded about 25 yards out and slightly to the left.  Chad Turner, the Bessacarr dead ball specialist, stepped up in his usual nonchalant style and struck an unstoppable drive into the top right corner (0 - 1).
The rest of the first half saw Bessacarr dominating possession but unable to convert the chances created.
The second half was a more tightly contested affair with most of the play taking place in midfield.
Bessacarr were first to break the deadlock from a typically fine Chad Turner corner kick from the left found Jack Wilson coming in at the near post.  Wilson's delicate header looped over the struggling Barnby Dun keeper and dropped in at the opposite corner (0 - 2).
The arm wrestle then continued until Barnby Dun grabbed a foot hold when their striker received the ball on the edge of the area, turned and fired low just evading the diving Tom Dangerfield (1 - 2).
This lifted Barnby Dun's spirits and they began to press the Bessacarr defence and were rewarded in the dying seconds when a cross from wide left of goal pinged around the Bessacarr area like a pin ball evading the attempted Bessacarr clearances before being poked in at the right post (2 - 2).
The full time whistle came directly after the restart to leave the Bessacarr players stunned at having lost 2 points.
Man of the Match was given to Eddie Fisher for the work rate he showed throughout the match.
